I just came home from the library with the book, Healing and Preventing Autism, by Jenny McCarthy and Jerry Kartizinel. It’s been out since April 2009 — how is it that I haven’t known about it until now. And, I’m the very first person to have taken out this copy of the book from the library (my stamp is the first stamp on this book). I feel as though this book is so valuable, there should be a long waiting list to get a copy of this book. I feel that part of my life mission is to promote the information that’s in this book.
I haven’t had time to read it yet (I just got it home), but by glancing through it, I can see already that it has the answers that I’ve been looking for (with respect to how to help Moses’ health problems). I’ve heard snippets here and there and have been trying to piece together all of the pieces of the puzzle and I’m very thankful that someone has gone through all of the trouble of putting all of the pieces together so that we can understand what’s going on with our children.
Go to your library and find this book and read it. We can read it together.
If your library doesn’t have a copy of this book, buy it. I already know that this is a book that I will be buying (and I’m very spendthrift and don’t like buying books, so this should tell you something already).
Thank you, thank you, thank you again, Lisa from My World Edenwild for recommended this book.
By the way, this isn’t just a book for the parents of autistic children. This is a book for all parents. This is a book for all of us who care about what’s happening with our children and our planet. This is a book for people in the medical profession. Please read it and then tell others about it.
Update: You can read more about my thoughts on this book here.

How wonderful that you’ve found a way to help others. I agree, when I started reading that book, it seemed like THE book that parents of autistic children should read, and anyone concerned about autism, and of course medical professionals because they are the ones that can really help put parents of autistic children on the right path.
I will continue to promote that book to anyone I think may benefit from it. I am so glad it is helping you. I, myself, have been given some peace of mind from reading it, because I have a better understanding of how autism can occur. My son isn’t autistic but I’ve always been scared that I might do something to cause autism in him, because I think the statistics are quite alarming.
Yay, yay, yay! Thanks again, Lisa, for pointing me in the right direction. It really feels like this is the book that I was looking for to piece it all together in a way that I could understand it. And, now there’s an easy to way to help others b/c it’s easy to recommend a book.
It seriously makes me feel so good that some little thing I did helped you find this path. I’m so excited for you, and do hope you are able to help others find their answers.
[...] Healing and Preventing Autism by Jenny McCarthy and Jerry Kartizinel. This is a useful book for parents with autistic children, and also for parents with children who are sensitive to foods and environmental allergens. More here. [...]
Is your child a crystal child? As an indigo transitioning to crystal myself, I have suffered from a disconnect which could be considered mild autism. I retreat into my bubble and forget the people around me.
If your child is suffering from bubble-syndrome because he is overly sensitive, he needs:
1. An energetically clean environment into which to retreat. Quiet, peace and cleanliness. This will need to be free of any negative energy coming from you, too.
2. Company with others like him with whom he can relate well – and lots of it.
3. To learn proper energetic shielding techniques. (Ask me if you want me to describe the meditation I use).
Hope this helps a little.
Andrew
Hi Andrew: Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. I would say that my child is definitely a crystal child (though not autistic). I completely agree with your comments — truthfully I haven’t taught him any energetic shielding techniques. I would be interested what you would suggest for an almost four year old.
Janice
Yeah 4 years old… bit hard to teach him maybe XD Maybe he could understand though…
The meditation I use is one Erin Pavlina channeled for me. It involves visualising a rain of white light coming down from heaven, which bounces off your body and creates like a protective shell of white light. The idea is that it’s not an impervious shield, more like an aura.
Combining this with a good indigo/crystal social life has got me to the point where I can relate with non-indigo-crystals – particularly my parents whom I have a real desire to be able to relate with – and be in their presence without overloading on negative energy.
Good on you for making a gifted child’s passage into this world comfortable – it was such an ordeal for me.
Love
Andrew
Hi Andrew: Thanks so much for he shielding technique. I think he will definitely understand it. He’s very bright!
I agree that it’s important to find like-minded (and like-energy) people to connect with. We recently moved to this city, so we’re still establishing our roots. Happily, a good friend of mine recently moved here, which helps.
Good to hear that you are able to get to the point where you can relate with your parents without overloading on negative energy. I think there’s real healing when we can repair our primary relationships, like with our parents.
Seems to me that many “sensitive” people have had difficult childhoods. Mine was the same, though my mom is sensitive herself.
