Clearing Carcinosin 30C - Heilkunst Round 18

This last month, Moses cleared Carcinosin 30C (i.e., to the first potency — he has three more levels to clear, but I’m spacing them out because he’s been reacting strongly to clearing the chronic miasms). To give you some context, most people can clear the chronic miasm powders for all four potencies one after another, over a period of four days, or sometimes every second day. For Moses, I’ve started spacing out each of the powders by several weeks.

Carcinosin is the one of the chronic miasms (or archetypal diseases), the one related to cancer.

In psychological and emotional terms, the cancer state of mind is one which is “resigned” — either from having given up from stress or disappointments in life, and just accepting that that is all one can expect from their life, or in terms of a weakness of will to counteract the stronger will power of their family or friends, and just accept what others have dictated for them. As I described last month, Moses was launched directly from clearing the Sycosis miasm to clearing the Cancer miasm. He started the month with having a lot of difficulty breathing, and his Heilkunstler thought it was time to start clearing the Cancer miasm. I gave him the Carcinosin 30C and Staphysagria 6C powders on the same day.

The core theme of the phenotype Staphysagria centres around victimization. They are the type who get caught up in cycles of abuse where they are unable to say “no”, or assert a necessary boundary, but immediately regretting and resenting their own lack of voice, along with the actions of their abuser. Even in non-chronic abuse situations, Staphysagria results from anger which is ‘swallowed’ rather than expressed. There is a core feeling of injustice or of life being “unfair”, and being at the mercy of the whims and actions of others.

The classic physical symptoms of Staphysagria revolve around the bladder and kidneys, in terms of infections, or cysts. These symptoms are the physical embodiment of the unexpressed emotion of feeling “pissed off”, which have to come out in one way or another, if the natural avenue of expression wasn’t taken. Other physical symptoms include styes or tumors of the eyelid. Many digestive issues, including chronic irritable bowel syndrome can also result from this suppressed energy. Any medical condition which first began after an incident of suppressed anger or humiliation can be reversed with this remedy. Source

His Heilkunstler thought it was good for him to also clear Staphysagria (one of the homeopathic constitutional phenotypes) based on the fact that Moses “loves” telling us stories about him being victimized. I use the word “love” because he does seem to enjoy telling us these stories. One of his favourite things to do at bedtime is play school, and he “loves” to pretend that the other children are making fun of him, literally walking over him and laughing at him.  Heartbreaking when you think about it, but very important information to pass on to his Heilkunstler as she can prescribe remedies that match that state of mind. Eventually, with continued treatment, this state of mind will shift and as I write this, it occurs to me that Moses didn’t ask to play this “game” this month (since we started clearing Staphysagria). (Note, his teacher assures us that Moses is well-liked and has many friends at school. The victimization theme is his own mindset, but could eventually turn into his reality if it isn’t shifted internally). He cleared Staphysagria to two levels and has two more levels to go.

It also fascinates me to read the description of Staphysagria as I didn’t read this information prior to writing this post. One of the classical physical symptoms involves Staphysagria is styes or tumors of the eyelid. One of Moses’ reoccuring symptoms is an abscess on his right eyelid. He actually developed yet another one a few days ago, which makes DH and I nervous. We’re hoping that it’ll resolve without us needing to go to the eye doctor, but if he doesn’t start to resolve by Monday, we’ll likely be bringing him back to the eye doctor…  I started him on a homeopathic dropper for eye abscesses that his Heilkunstler prescribed for him the last time he developed one two months ago (Caust  10M, Sillex 10M, Acon 10 M, Euphr 200C, Kali-i 200C)

Back to clearing the cancer miasm, it felt like this was a  big miasm for Moses to clear. Not surprising since clearing the cancer miasm rocked my world when I cleared it two months ago; I was deeply angry for the whole month. Also not surprising because cancer runs in both DH and my families…

Moses had night terrors or nightmares almost nightly for most of this month. More nightmares than night terrors, which I feel is an improvement (i.e., he came out of them on his own and didn’t scream and cry during the nightmares, but would wake up and tell us that he had a nightmare). Still, it meant that we all had an interrupted sleep for the entire month. One of his daily droppers that he was taking three times a day was related to his night terrors / emotional state (Rhust / Nit-ae / Arn 50M, Benz-ac 1M, Psor 200C, Equis 30C, Bell CM), in addition to his constitutional / emotional dropper (NSOL LM, Sulph CM, Carc CM, Hura 1M, Puls 50M).

Within 2 days of being dosed the Carcinosin and Staphysagria powders, he had a low grade fever that lasted for three days. He developed a raspy, loose cough. On the positive side of things, the rash on his back cleared up (last month, he had a developed a terrible rash).

He was emotional and cried when I dropped him off at school (something that he never does). He was very emotional and extra cuddly at home. We gave him a bit of GFCF cake (which he’d eaten before), and he developed an allergic reaction to it and we had a short visit to the ER.

A couple of days later, he developed an abscess on his anus (ack!), which thankfully resolved within 8 days. We dealt with it on our own, putting an antibacterial cream on it, and I continued to dose him with the Carcinosin LM2 dropper (which is supposed to help alleviate healing reactions related to the Carc. powder).

He was sad and angry for much of the month. One week, he was too sick to attend Taekwodo.  Another week, he was “too sad” to participate. He missed the third week to celebrate his birthday. During the fourth week, he was feeling “too tired”, wasn’t paying attention, lied down on the floor during class. Today, the fifth week, he had a good day at Taekwondo, showing me that emotionally, he has completed this round of healing.

Two weeks after he was dosed the Carcinosin powder, he developed thrush in his mouth. Ack — it’s back!!  Hard to say if it was related to the healing reaction (likely it was), but DH doesn’t believe in healing reactions, so Moses is back on Diflucan. I was actually okay with him starting it again because I felt that he really needed to be back on it (at least temporarily) because his mouth was so sore / raw from the thrush / corners of his mouth were open and sore. At least, his body received a 3.5 month break from Diflucan, and hopefully, we’ll be able to take him off of it again soon. The thrush resolved within a couple of days of being back on Diflucan, so at least it’s under control.

Three weeks after he was dosed the Carcinosin powder, his symptoms started to subside, although he was still having nightmares. He was still emotionally sensitive / sad though.

Four weeks after he was dosed the Carcinosin powder, his symptoms increased again. He developed a new abscess on his right lower eye lid. His back is now completely broken out. Tonight, his asthma was up again. It feels like he’s probably ready to clear the next level of Carcinosin, but I’m reluctant to start it because he has a pediatrician appointment next week and I try to avoid having him being in the middle of a healing reaction during doctor’s appointments because doctors get very nervous / concerned when Moses’ symptoms are up. (And when they are concerned, they want to increase his level of medication). I contacted his Heilkunstler yesterday and we might have a consult on Monday if things don’t start clearing up on their own.

On the good side of things:

• Moses had a great 6th birthday party. He was in great spirits, and he wasn’t overstimulated despite the fact that he had 17 children plus 20 adults at his bowling party. We were able to figure out the cake dilemma (Glutino chocolate cake with this icing). Surprisingly, he didn’t even get overstimulated from the sugar in the cake / icing.

Before the craziness – before all of the guests arrive…

• When I list out all the healing reactions altogether, it might sound like a lot, but overall, things are still going along tickety-boo in our family. Things still feel soooo much easier than it once was. Moses is still so much more healthier than he was in the past.
• He had two dental appointments and the dentist remarked how well behaved he is during the appointments. Moses just opens his mouth with no problem. Moses got a bilateral space maintainer because of the tooth that was pulled back in November, and it hasn’t seemed to have been a problem for him (although I’m not too happy that he has yet more stainless steel in his mouth).
• He has officially started reading.
• He loves drawing and sometimes enjoys writing as well.
• He loves playing with his cousin and best friend.
• He has a great sense of humour.

I’m feeling a bit nervous that he had quite a big reaction to clearing the lowest potency of Carcinosin. I’m hoping that the reactions don’t get much bigger for the next levels of healing.

This month, I cleared the Malaria chronic miasm to 10M. It didn’t seem to be a big one for me, although I did experience flu-like symptoms for a few days.

The abscess on his right eye is starting to resolve. Yay!

His eyesight in his left eye (his injured eye) has improved to 20/40. Yay!  I’m pretty sure this means that he will not be needing eye surgery (the last time we saw his eye doctor, she mentioned that he might need eye surgery if it didn’t improve….)

His pediatrician is happy with how he is doing, but changed his preventative puffer from Flovent to Alvesco.

We started clearing Carcinosin to the second potency yesterday….
