“I can feel the Reiki, Mom”

I was rubbing my son’s back tonight before bed (like I normally do). After a few moments, he asked me if I was doing Reiki. (I was).

“I can feel the Reiki, Mom”.

Reiki and children

I received my Master Reiki attunement at the end of December. I’m feeling a real calling to start to attune others to the Reiki energy. I want to attune everyone — I think it’s such a gift to bring to humanity. And, it’s so simple really.

An attunement just opens one’s channels to the natural healing energy that is already there. Everyone is a healer. The healing energy is there. I plan to attune my husband and my 3.5 year old son very soon, and have two others who want attunements. And it will grow from there.

My vision in particular is to attune people who are suffering or have people in their lives who are suffering (which really, includes most of humanity, in my mind). I am also particularly interested in attuning children. In Diane Stein’s book, Essential Reiki, she mentions that during an ancient time on Earth, during the Lemurian civilization, Reiki I was taught to school aged children, Reiki II to middle school children, and Reiki III was taught to all teachers and all others who wished to receive it. Imagine a world where we empowered all of our children in this way. A Reiki attunement helps to develop one’s intuitive ability and helps connect people to the Source. It is only when we feel disconnected to the Source of all that we feel disempowered, disillusioned and that life is a struggle.
