At the ocean last week

Last week, we were happily enjoying the beautiful ocean view at a family gathering. Moses was sporting a new mohawk and feeling on top of the world.

Last week at the ocean...

  1. Hi, there!

    1) I love your blog! You have such a fascinating family. ๐Ÿ™‚

    2) I love how into natural remedies you are! Essential oils are amazing. I wish the world were more into whole healing.

    3) Have you heard about Mark Kibyuk? He’s a naturopath in St. John’s who helps heal allergies. I thought you might be interested for your little guy.

  2. Hi Aine: Thanks so much for your note and also the recommendation. I haven’t heard about Mark Kibyuk. What is your experience with him? What kind of work does he do to heal allergies? Thanks again!

  3. I have many food intolerances, and he put me on a probiotic (Metagenics) because apparently there’s a correlation between poor gut flora and allergies. He also put me on a salicylate reduced diet.

After my first month on the probiotic and diet, my skin exploded in a rash and I was very moody, which he said was a crisis healing reaction, and a really good sign. (Although really frusterating for me!)

During my second appointment, he was able to cleanse my system of a years worth of gluten by using a little electronic machine placed on accupuncture points. (I realize how strange that sounds! I also don’t know the ins-and-outs of it either, but it was very interesting.)

He mentioned he has several clients that are children, but I’m not sure if what he’s doing with me is what he’s doing with all his patients.

  4. Thanks so much, Aine. I’ll definitely consider seeing him.

  5. Very nice Family picture. Are you native American?
I am now trying to cut our Gluten/wheat from my die since I am still nursing..so so ahrd to do.

  6. Hi Ariana: I’m mostly Filipina, with a bit of Chinese ancestry, although I was born in the US and raised in Canada. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also did the same – cut gluten and dairy from my diet while I was nursing. I also found it very difficult! Good luck!
