Abscess update – 2014

Leave a comment

This post was first written on March 22, 2014, but I’m using this post to keep a log of all his abscesses in 2014 and into 2017.

Well, there’s more to catch up on.

Right after our best week ever, Moses’ body started creating abscesses like crazy. Three under both armpits and one on his groin. A few of them painful, which is very unfortunate.

Oh. my. goodness.

These are his first surface abscesses that he’s had since both of his armpits were drained when he was in the hospital in November.  I think the super antibiotic that he was on (Linezolid) kept them away. He was on Linezolid for 7.5 weeks and stopped taking it in late January after his surgery for the intra-abdominal abscesses. February 22 was the first day that I noticed a small abscess on his left armpit, but Moses said that it had been there for a couple of weeks.

I have some theories about what brought on this latest round of abscesses, which I’ll share in the next post, but on the good side of things, I wanted to mention that Moses’ body has been doing a great job of trying to release these abscesses. In the last 10 days, he has had 4 abscesses spontaneously drain and stay open for a longer time, which allows them a long time to drain. The groin abscess has completely resolved on its own, and right now both of his armpits are currently draining on their own.

His surgeon is pleased that Moses’ body seems to be resolving the abscesses better. We have started giving Moses more consistent bleach baths once or twice a day (I hate doing this, but it’s one of the recommendations for MRSA, and on the good side of things, it’s not a medication).

And, I’ve been trying to do more daily meditations, which I feel might be helping on an energetic level.

In any case, something positive seems to be changing, and I am still so optimistic that eventually Moses’ abscesses will be a thing of the past….

March 29, 2014 update

In the last week, Moses had two new abscesses appear:

  • right groin; and
  • left bum cheek.

And, he had two more abscesses spontaneously drain:

  • right groin (it started draining a couple of days after it appeared);
  • his left armpit (just started draining today).

So this brings us to 6 abscesses spontaneously drain in the last couple of weeks.

Right now he has:

  • two small ones on his right armpit;
  • a huge one draining on his left armpit, but that one seems to have multiple pockets, so this one isn’t completely resolved yet;
  • the right groin abscess may have resolved, but there’s still a small spot of “hardness”; and
  • the small one on his left bum cheek just started a couple of days ago.

On the good side of things, these abscesses are all spontaneously draining and none have needed surgical intervention. Moses has been seeing his surgeon every Friday. Yesterday, the surgeon decided not to drain any of them because he figured that Moses’ body is doing a good job on its own.

We hope to get off this cycle of abscesses soon……

April 5, 2014

Over the last week, Moses had:

  • one abscess under his right armpit spontaneously drain yesterday; and
  • an abscess on his bottom was drained by a surgeon today. He was anaesthesized using Madazolam.

So over the last few weeks, that’s a total of 7 that have drained spontaneously and one that needed surgical intervention.

On the good side of things, he had no new abscesses develop over the last week. Thank goodness.

Right now, he has only two small abscess left, one under each armpit.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel… Hopefully the last two resolve on their own and they we have a good long break.

A few hours later on April 5

Moses showed us another swollen lymph node behind his right ear. Quite sizeable. He says that it’s been there for three weeks or so. Hopefully it’s just a swollen lymph node and that once all of these abscesses resolve, it will also resolve on their own.

Also, we noticed that he has developed a rash on both sides of his hips. They almost look like burn marks. We think that we have been using too much bleach in his bleach baths. We are stopping the bleach baths now.

April 12, 2014

Moses had two more abscesses spontaneously drain under his left armpit on Tuesday, during ball hockey. They both closed up by the next morning, and then started spontaneously draining again on Wednesday at 5 am (a few hours after his long-distance karmic healing session).

So that’s a total of 9 abscesses that have drained spontaneously and one that needed surgical intervention.

It’s Saturday today, and he has one more abscess under his right armpit, some swollen-ness (scar tissue?) under his left armpit and a swollen lymph node behind his right ear. Hopefully they will be resolve on their own very, very soon! On the good side of things, no new abscesses developed over the last week, and he hasn’t had a night terror for over 2 weeks now.

April 18, 2014

Last Sunday night, Moses’ left armpit opened up again and drained some more.

He currently has:

  • a large abscess under his right armpit;
  • a small abscess under his left armpit;
  • a swollen lymph node behind his right ear; and
  • some swollen-ness on his right groin (this is a new development).

He had one night terror last night, his first one in three weeks.

We started him back on MMS baths tonight. I haven’t used MMS for a couple of years, but felt like trying it again. I don’t feel like giving it to him orally and I don’t think I would DH’s buy-in for that. Happily, DH was okay with trying the MMS baths.

April 22, 2014

He had the large abscess under his right armpit drained under local anesthetic. Hopefully this will completely resolve.

He still has a small abscess (hard) under his left armpit.

On the good side of things, the swollen lymph node behind his right ear is gone, and the swollen-ness on his right groin is gone. Great news! I wonder if the MMS helped to resolve those two!

April 26, 2014

He currently has a couple of small lumps under his right armpit and a small lump under his left armpit.

So the current count since March is:  9 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 2 that needed surgical intervention and 2 that disappeared on their own.

May 2, 2014

Things are steady with one small lump under both armpits. His surgeon is not concerned about them at the moment. Moses is also currently in the hospital being treated for a UTI infection with IV antibiotics.

May 27, 2014

Moses had an abscess in his right armpit drained by a surgeon through local anaesthesia. No other abscesses are present.  The lump under the left armpit is gone. Thankfully!

So the current count since March:  9 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 3 that needed surgical intervention and 3 that disappeared on their own.

June 6, 2014

Moses has a new abscess on his left armpit. No obvious triggers, and we have been doing 2 drops of CD daily for the past few weeks, and baths with 20 drops of CD a couple of times a week. We probably should be more aggressive with CD dosage and also more frequent CD baths.

June 16, 2014

Abscess under left armpit drained under local anaesthetic. In addition, he developed 3 more abscesses within a couple of days of me spending time with one of my “spiritual friends”.

Current count: 9 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 3 that disappeared on their own, plus 3 unresolved. (19 total)

June 22, 2014

This week, he had an abscess under his right armpit spontaneously drain. Yay!

Bad news: the abscess that was drained less than a week ago has already closed up and is huge again. We hope that it’ll drain on its own soon.

There’s still 2 other abscesses on his groin.

Still doing CD baths (20-23 drops of CD) and started the Symphony of Cells essential oil protocol for infections twice a day today.

Current count: 10 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 3 that disappeared on their own, plus 3 unresolved.

June 28, 2014

This week, he had two abscesses spontaneously drain: left armpit and right groin. The left armpit had yet another pocket, so he still has a sizeable abscess there. The right groin completely drained. There’s still some “hardness” left (scar tissue?), but I’ll call this one resolved for now.

So, he still has two abscesses: one on the left armpit and one on the left groin.

Current count: 12 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 3 that disappeared on their own, plus 2 unresolved (that’s 21 total).

We stopped the Symphony of cells essential oil protocol – I think it was too much for Moses’ body and caused a rash on his back and an increase in rashes elsewhere on his body (armpits, groin, stomach). Still doing CD baths (tried 25 drops of CD and it caused stomach pain afterwards, so I’m going to back it off to 23 drops for now. About 6 days ago, I started using EFT – perhaps that helped the two abscesses spontaneously drain?  We hope these last two resolve on their own….

July 2, 2014

In the last couple of days, two more abscesses spontaneously drained: left armpit again and right groin again. And abscess on the left groin seems to have disappeared.

He still has some “bumps” (scar tissue?) on his left armpit, but his surgeon currently considers them resolved. He also considered his groin abscesses resolved as well!

Since we started EFT, he had four abscesses spontaneously drain.

A couple of weeks ago, he had so many abscesses that the surgeon was discussing the possibility of needing to use general anesthesia to deal with them all, and they all resolved themselves! We don’t need to see his surgeon every week anymore – our next appt is in a month’s time. So thankful! I’m going to be continuing with EFT!!!!

Current count: 14 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (22 total).  Therefore, a total of 6 that developed as a result of my visit with my “spiritual friend” on June 12, and 3 weeks for them to all resolve.

July 6, 2014

I saw a spiritual friend on Friday and two days later, Moses developed an anal abscess, but the good news is that it resolved itself immediately (on the same day that it appeared). It must not have been presented on Saturday because we went on a 5 km bike ride and he didn’t mention it. Tonight, when I asked him if he had any abscesses, he told me that it felt like he had one on his bum. When I took a look, it was already draining! Wow – that was fast! I hope no more appear…..  I’ve been tapping like crazy on our pattern.

Current count: 15 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (23 total).

He also has 2 small bumps (the start of new abscesses?) on the left armpit.

July 17, 2014

This week, two abscesses under his left armpit spontaneously drained. There’s still more “bumpiness” under that armpit, so I don’t think this has been completely resolved yet.

Current count: 17 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (25 total).

July 21, 2014

An abscess under his left armpit spontaneously drained. There’s still more “bumpiness” (at least 2 more heads) under that armpit, so I don’t think this has been completely resolved yet.

Current count: 18 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (26 total).

July 23, 2014

The multi-pocketted abscesses under his left armpit spontaneously drained yet again in three different places at once. I hope that this is it for this abscess. There are still 3 “flat” lumps under that armpit.

Current count: 19 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (27 total).

August 10, 2014

In the last week, Moses had two more abscesses spontaneously drain: one on his left armpit (occurred on across-country flight to Calgary) and another one on the right side of his groin.

Current count: 21 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention and 4 that disappeared on their own (29 total).

August 14, 2014
A couple of days after we arrived to Winnipeg, Moses developed 7 new abscesses: 4 in his groin, 1-2 under his right armpit, one on the left side of his temple and one in the corner of his right eye. Ack!

Current count: 21 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 4 that disappeared on their own and 7 that have not yet been resolved (36 total).

August 18, 2014

We have been home for a couple of days and Moses abscesses are starting to resolve. The one by his eye has drained and is healing. The one on the side of his temple is resolving itself and one of the abscesses on his groin drained spontaneously today.

Current count: 23 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 5 that disappeared on their own and 4 that have not yet been resolved (36 total).

August 19, 2014

Moses’ body is resolving these abscesses like crazy. Another one on his groin drained spontaneously and the one on his right armpit drained spontaneously.

Current count: 25 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 5 that disappeared on their own and at least 3 that have not yet been resolved (37 total).

August 26, 2014

He had three more re-drain this week. And then after I spent some time with a spiritual friend, all three areas filled up again (both armpits and his groin). Ack. My poor boy.  His surgeon is talking about restarting Moses back on the super antibiotic (Linezolid), but we are waiting to talk to the infectious diseases specialist first. I’d rather not start him on it…

Current count: 28 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 4 that needed surgical intervention, 5 that disappeared on their own and at least 3 that have not yet been resolved (40 total).

September 9, 2014

Well, Moses had 8 abscesses drained under general anesthesia today (4 under his left armpit, 2 under his right armpit, 1 on his left groin and 1 on his scrotum). We are pretty sure that we are going to start him on Linezolid (the super antibiotic), as well as starting Heilkunst homeopathy in the near future.

Current count: 28 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 12 that needed surgical intervention, and 5 that disappeared on their own (45 total).

September 13, 2014

Moses had another abscess drained via local anaesthesia on his left groin yesterday. He’s officially abscess-free at the moment (well, the left groin is healing, and he has some swollen-ness under his right armpit). We are trying to using the MRSA essential oil protocol on his abscesses, but it’s hard to b/c they often burn his skin (even though they are highly diluted) because he has cracks and openness in his skin. I am no longer trying to put the oils on his skin right after a bath because his skin is especially sensitive to essential oils then.

Current count: 28 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 13 that needed surgical intervention, and 5 that disappeared on their own (46 total).

October 5, 2014

Moses has been abscess-free for 3 weeks now. I think that the MRSA essential oil protocol is helping!

October 11, 2014

Abscesses seem to be starting under each armpit. Maybe related to re-starting homeopathy? Maybe related to the yoga class that I attended?

October 16, 2014

The abscesses on the right disappeared, so there’s only one small one under his left armpit at the moment.

October 31, 2014

Currently, there’s an abscess under his left armpit that has drained on its own ~3 times, but it’s still there. Once it’s a formed abscess, I haven’t been putting oil on it directly b/c I don’t want to prevent it from bursting on its own.

He had an anal abscess burst on its own a couple of days ago.

And he had an abscesses above his groin drained by local anesthesia by a surgeon.

Potential trigger for abscesses: I’ve recently started doing more things in the community (hanging out with friends, helping out with an essential oil yoga workshop).

Current count: 30 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, and 6 that disappeared on their own (50 total).

November 4, 2014

After a weekend that I spent time with friends and went to a yoga class:

– The abscess that was drained by the surgeon has healed.

– The left armpit abscess spontaneously burst again and a lot drained, but there is still some “hardness” left.

– A right armpit abscess has developed.

– There’s two new abscesses on both sides of his groin.

– A small bump has appeared on his eyelid, which seems to be going down.

yikes!

Current count: 31 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, 6 that disappeared on their own, plus 6 unresolved abscesses (57 total).

 November 13, 2014

Currently, Moses had 4 abscesses: one under each armpit and on both sides of his groin.

Current count: 31 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, 7 that disappeared on their own, plus 4 unresolved abscesses (56 total).

November 29, 2014

Since my last update, the abscess under one of his armpits spontaneously drained.

And two abscesses appeared under the other armpit, but both spontaneously drained. And the two abscesses on his groin resolved. These four all drained the day after DH and I went on vacation to NYC. We were so happy about this news! I’m wondering if they resolved b/c Moses has is finishing up the Staphyloccocus homeopathic droppers. hmmm…..  I hope and pray that this is it for abscesses!

Current count: 36 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention and 7 that disappeared on their own (57 total).

December 7, 2014

Ack, ack, ack!

Moses has 6 new abscesses:

  • 2 under left armpit;
  • 2 on right left groin;
  • a huge one on the right groin / upper thigh;
  • large one on his left bum cheek.

Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Potential triggers? Staphyloccoccus remedies? NYC visit? I told his homeopathy about this latest increase in abscesses and 2 days ago, she increased the Staphlococcus dropper to MM. Since then, all of the abscesses seem to have gotten bigger, so it hasn’t helped yet.

I’m going to make an appt with his karmic healer.

December 13, 2014

Well, I’ve since talked with Moses’ homeopath and she thinks the last chronic miasm clearing (Medhorrinum might have triggered the last batch of abscesses.

One abscess on his left groin disappeared and his bum disappeared, and the other on his left groin drained on its own, but re-filled again.

So that leaves three:

  •  a huge one under his left armpit;
  • a huge one on the right groin / upper thigh; and
  • left groin.

Current count: 37 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, 9 that disappeared on their own and 3 unresolved (63 total).

December 14, 2014

The abscess on the left groin spontaneously drained last night at 4 am.

That leaves:

  • a huge one under his left armpit; and
  • a huge one on the right groin / upper thigh.

Current count: 38 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, 9 that disappeared on their own and 2 unresolved (63 total).

December 18, 2014

The abscess under the left armpit drained on its own today, and so did the one on his right groin! Woo hoo!

But, I’ve noticed that there is a separate one on his upper thigh.

Current count: 40 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 14 that needed surgical intervention, 9 that disappeared on their own and 1 unresolved (64 total).

December 20, 2014

Moses had general anaesthesia today and 3 abscesses were drained:

– 2 under left armpit; and

– huge one on right thigh.

Current count: 40 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 17 that needed surgical intervention (2 general anesthesia and 6 under local), 9 that disappeared on their own (66 total).

December 24, 2014

Moses had yet another abscess develop in the last couple of days and then burst on its own (left groin). I’m calling the rest of the abscesses all resolved.

Current count: 41 abscesses that have drained spontaneously, 17 that needed surgical intervention (2 general anesthesia for 11 of them, and 6 under local), 9 that disappeared on their own (67 total).

January 1, 2015

ugh – he has the start of an abscess on his left armpit. It started after I saw a spiritual friend. Coincidence? 😦

Current count for the year: 1 abscess not yet resolved.

January 8, 2015

Had had 3 abscesses spontaneously drain in his left armpit in the last two days. There’s still one more left.

Current count: 3 abscesses spontaneously drained, 1 not yet resolved.

January 10, 2015

Had an abscess on his left groin spontaneously drain. DH and I didn’t even know it was there.

Current count: 4 abscesses spontaneously drained, 1 not yet resolved.

January 28, 2015

One abscess under each armpit. The one under the left armpit is quite big – it’s been there since early January. Hopefully will burst soon. The other abscess just popped up recently. Perhaps in response to the essential oil + yoga workshop that I recently helped to facilitate?

Current count: 4 abscesses spontaneously drained, 2 not yet resolved.

February 6, 2015

An abscess under the left armpit drained last night. There’s still a huge abscess under his right armpit and a new one on his groin that developed a few days ago.

Current count: 5 abscesses spontaneously drained, 2 not yet resolved.

February 15, 2015

Recently started a new round of homeopathic clearing (ringworm) and took some powders for Staphylococcinum. The huge abscess under the right armpit that has been there since early January finally spontaneously burst last night.

Some bumpiness in groin, but I’m not going to call it an abscess for now. I’ll call it resolved for now. Woot woot. he is currently abscess-free.

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 1 resolved on own.

February 27, 2015

Woot woot! He is still abscess-free! It’s been 12 days now!

March 22, 2015

Moses was abscess-free for five weeks!!!  I was so excited that I wrote a very detailed blog post detailing our abscess journey here.

Later that night, I noticed that Moses had a small abscess growing on his left armpit. I co-taught a yoga workshop yesterday. Related to that? Or related to Medhorrhinum? Likely the latter.

March 28, 2015

He now had an abscess under his left armpit and two bumps (abscesses?) on both sides of his head. Ack!

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 1 resolved on own and 3 unresolved.

March 29, 2015

Thankfully, the two bumps on the side of his head went away! Yay!

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 3 resolved on own and 1 unresolved.

April 23, 2015

The abscess under his left armpit resolved on its own after starting some homeopathic remedies.

A couple of weeks ago, Moses developed a painful abscess on the back of his head (right side). After starting some homeopathic remedies, it disappeared on its own.

He currently has a small (but painful to touch) abscess on the top of his head (right).

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 5 resolved on own, and 1 unresolved.

April 29, 2015

He still has a small abscess on the top of his head (right), behind his left ear and on a sensitive part of his body.

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 5 resolved on own, and 3 unresolved.

May 4, 2015

Moses developed a chalazion on his left eye. It was so big that it was partially obstructing his vision.

He still has a small abscess on the top of his head (right) and on a sensitive part of his body. I think the one behind his left ear may have resolved.

Current count: 6 abscesses spontaneously drained, 6 resolved on own, and 3 unresolved.

May 13, 2015

The big chalazion / eyelid abscess drained on its own after starting some homeopathic remedies and his eyesight improved in that eye. More details here.

Since then, he’s had a couple additional small abscesses develop on the same eyelid.

He still has an abscess in a sensitive area, but he had 2 there and one disappeared on it own.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 7 resolved on own and 2 unresolved.

May 15, 2015

Small abscess in the inner corner of his right eyelid and the middle of his left eyelid.

Abscess in a sensitive area.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 7 resolved on own and 3 unresolved.

May 23, 2015

The abscesses from last week resolved. Now he has one right below his eye, in the corner.

Moses says that the abscess in a sensitive area went away.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 9 resolved on own and 1 unresolved.

May 24, 2015

Two new abscesses: one his his right armpit and one on his right groin.

Still has one in the corner of his right eye.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 9 resolved on own and 3 unresolved. (20 total)

May 31, 2015

The abscess on the corner of his right eye went away. And another one that developed on the side of his right head went away too.

But, he has a new one on his left groin and still has one on his right armpit and one on his right groin.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 11 resolved on own and 3 unresolved. (22 total)

June 4, 2015

He has a small swollen lymph node on the right side of his neck. This one appeared the day after I spent time with a spiritual friend.

Still has one on his left armpit and both sides of his groin.

Current count: 8 abscesses spontaneously drained, 11 resolved on own and 4 unresolved. (23 total)

June 15, 2015

The one on his left armpit started draining today, but not completely. The one on his neck is starting to get a bit smaller, although it’s still a good size. The ones on his groin are still there. Plus, he has small bump on his right eyebrow and one on one of his ears.

Current count: 9 abscesses spontaneously drained, 11 resolved on own and 6 unresolved. (26 total)

June 16, 2015

In the last 24 hours, Moses has developed more abscesses. He currently has 9 abscesses:

  • Under both armpits;
  • On his right groin (soft and ready to be drained) (good news – the one on the left disappeared);
  • right eyebrow;
  • left eyelid (small);
  • left ear;
  • back of head (small, hard, sore to touch);
  • dental abscess on the right side, upper jaw; and
  • one on the right side his neck.

OMG!!!  Today is four days after starting his latest round of homeopathic droppers. This is also four days after I spent time with a room full of yoga instructors. Moses has a history of creating abscesses when I spend time with a lot of yoga instructors.

Current count: 9 abscesses spontaneously drained; 12 resolved on own and 9 unresolved (30 total).

June 19, 2015

Update:

  • The small one on his left eyelid went away.
  • The one on the back of his head drained and we shaved his hair there to avoid his hair getting matted in it.
  • The one on the right side of his neck is likely a swollen lymph node and not an abscess.
  • The one on his left ear was drained.

He still has:

  • Under both armpits;
  • On his right groin (soft and ready to be drained);
  • right eyebrow – it drained a bit and is slightly smaller than it was; and
  • dental abscess on the right side, upper jaw.

Current count: 10 abscesses spontaneously drained; 12 resolved on own,  5 unresolved and surgeon drained one (30 total).

June 20, 2015

Moses picked a hole in the right eyebrow abscess and it’s draining.

His dental abscess isn’t as swollen.

June 23, 2015

He is virtually down to one abscess (left armpit). All of the other abscesses disappeared. Maybe it’s the Clindamycin that we started for the dental abscess or the homeopathic remedies?

Also one new thing: a small bump on his right knee.

Current count: 10 abscesses spontaneously drained; 16 resolved on own, surgeon drained one and 2 unresolved (30 total).

June 27, 2015

Goodness! Things are back up again.

  • Huge abscess under left armpit;
  • Small bump on right knee is killing him;
  • Painful abscess on a sensitive area; and
  • the lymph node on the side of his neck is up again.

Current count: 10 abscesses spontaneously drained; 16 resolved on own, surgeon drained one and 3 unresolved (30 total).

June 28, 2015

The armpit under his left armpit spontaneously drained.

Current count: 11 abscesses spontaneously drained; 16 resolved on own, surgeon drained one and 2 unresolved (30 total).

July 1, 2015

Moses had general anaesthesia today to get an abscess drained on a sensitive area and on his right knee.

Lymph node on the right side of his neck is swollen.

Some general “bumpiness” under his armpit.

Current count: 11 abscesses spontaneously drained; 16 resolved on own, surgeon drained 3 (one was a minor incision and 2 needed general anaesthesia) (30 total). The last general anaesthesia before today was ~ 6 months ago.

July 2, 2015

Goodness – it’s one day later and the bumps under his armpits have grown and are essentially abscesses. The one on the right is sore to touch.

He also has a bump starting on his left eyelid. Yikes.

Current count: 11 abscesses spontaneously drained; 16 resolved on own, surgeon drained 3 (one was a minor incision and 2 needed general anaesthesia), and 3 unresolved (33 total).

July 10, 2015

Well, good news – one of the abscesses under his armpit went away, but now, he has 2 under his right armpit, still has a small bump on his right eyelid and a small one on his right groin. Oh boy.

Current count: 11 abscesses spontaneously drained; 17 resolved on own, surgeon drained 3 (one was a minor incision and 2 needed general anaesthesia), and 4 unresolved (35 total).

July 15, 2015

Now he has another painful abscess in a sensitive area. Poor boy.

Currently: 3 under right armpit, very small bump on right eyelid, one on a sensitive area.

The one on the right groin is gone.

Current count: 11 abscesses spontaneously drained; 18 resolved on own, surgeon drained 3 (one was a minor incision and 2 needed general anaesthesia), and 5 unresolved (37 total).

July 16, 2015

Great news! The abscess in the sensitive area drained on its own!

Currently: 3 under right armpit
